Content Knowledge
A difficult conversation is a conversation that people try to avoid because they feel like it will always end up going wrong. Some examples of this are discussing politics at the dinner table, complaining to your boss, discussing marriage problems, and asking for help from your group when they aren't doing anything. We read a book all about having difficult conversations which gave us "key terms" to help lead us through a difficult conversation. While reading this book, we were put into groups where we created a skit based on a difficult conversation we've had in our lives. My group's discussion was about getting kids to working a group when they don't want to. The style we presented these skits was called forum theater. This is a style of theater where the audience can come in to the skit after it has been performed to change the outcome. This is useful because we can solve real world problems by seeing what went wrong and changing it. The audience can come in as an ally of the protagonist or the protagonist.
