First Semester Projects
"At The Moment, I am"
Description
This was our first writing piece in high school. We all worked on it for like the first month of humanities class. The teacher was asking us to really put our hearts in and try our best so for when we look back at it we can say we did a good job in our first writing piece.
Reflection
When I was writing this piece I felt like it was the worse thing I could do for freshman year. I was really scared my structure and my grammar was really horrible and I knew I was going to do bad with this piece. We were supposed to look back at this and say that it was the best writing piece we did in freshman year but I knew it wasn't going to be. Now I look at this writing piece as how bad I started my writing in ninth grade with my other writing pieces being how I improved.

original Poem
Description
When we were writing this poems we had the option of choosing from haiku poetry, carpe diem poetry, elegy poetry, and free verse poetry. We had to choose one of those and write something creative that we could share to the class.
Reflection
My second writing piece for ninth grade was a haiku. We were told to chose one of the four options and write a creative piece to present to the class. I had to make three of them since they are short. One of them was about the ocean, my second one was about trees and my las one was about the safari.

Art Story Piece
Description
This art story we had to make up a story with two different pictures that we were shown. We had to chose one of the art pieces and with whichever one we chose we had to make a creative story on what that art piece could represent.
Reflection
When I first saw the two art pieces I knew I wanted to write a story on the second one. It was an empty garage all dirty and with a broom and a crow that's probably been there for a while. In this writing piece I was really creative and inspired by halloween. I decided to make it about an old crow that got tired of doing nothing so he decided to clean the garage. After cleaning it he decided to throw a party full of crows and the next day he was upset of the mess there was.

1st Biographical Article for Book
Description
With our tiny house groups we had to come up with four different biographical articles. We each got a different topic about Paul. The biographical article had to be about our artist Paul W. Koester, we had to write about important topics that were brought up in our interview with him. All of the groups hd to do this and we all made a book called " A Tiny Home is Where the Heart is"
Reflection
My biographical article was about Pauls inspirational teacher. At first my structure was really bad but while I got help from my teammates and revisions from ms. Britt i was able to improve it for it to be in the book. I wrote about Pauls inspirational teacher because in my opinion on how he explains her i the interview she was really helpful in his early years before becoming an artist.

Second Semester Projects
5 Vignetts
Description
With the vignettes from The House on Mango Street we had to guide our selfs to make five vignettes. we each got to chose what vignettes we wanted to connect to from the book and make up our own vignette.
Reflection
For this writing piece i am the most proud of. I really enjoyed this piece because I actually was interested in finishing this work and I enjoyed making vignettes. All tho I don't like writing poetry I actually liked writing vignettes. Even if I did this the last night before it was due I feel proud of my work and I think this has been the writing piece I've gotten the best grade on. The grade docent really mater to me but when I got my paper back and saw great marks all over the paper I thought this was going to be bad. when I started reading them I saw what I would never expect to see in a writing piece. Most of the moments that were on my writings were good moments and how my teacher liked siren lines. The only bad comments that it had were because i messed upon the structure with made me not get sixty out of sixty so I got fifty five out of sixty.

Original Shakespearean Sonnet
Description
Before reading "Romeo and Juliet" we learned about sonnets. A sonnet is a poem with fourteen lines and ten syllables in each lines. So as a writing piece we had to make up a sonnet with the theme of love. We could of done it about anything that we love to do or something or someone you love.
Reflection
Before beginning "Romeo and Juliet" we learned what sonnets are. It is a poem with fourteen lines and ten syllables in each line. When I was creating mine I thought I had ten syllables per line but where getting my paper back i realized I don't know how to count syllables. Mine is about a girl I like. This is also a paper I am proud f because I also enjoyed writing it and thinking of it was really easy to make up but hard to find the right words to describe her.
